Prison Expansion Project: Fostering Rehabilitation and Reintegration
The prison expansion project aims to enhance the facilities and opportunities for inmates, addressing their growing needs and promoting rehabilitation and reintegration. With an additional 350 m2 of space, the prison will be able to better accommodate the inmate population.
A key aspect of the expansion involves the construction of a new outer wall, which serves to secure the premises and provide boundaries for the expanded area.
To support vocational training programs, the procurement and installation of looms are prioritized.
Inmates will have the opportunity to learn weaving, a valuable skill that can benefit them during their time in prison and potentially serve as a means of livelihood upon release.
Improving sanitary facilities within the prison is also a primary focus of the expansion project. By upgrading and installing new sanitation amenities, hygienic conditions are maintained, promoting the well-being of both inmates and staff members.
Overall, the expansion project represents a commitment to creating a rehabilitative environment within the prison. Through additional space, modern facilities, and vocational training opportunities, the aim is to foster personal development, empower inmates, and prepare them for successful reintegration into society.
