We attempt to tackle one of the big challenges of overcrowded and underfunded prisons, with the focus on rehabilitation through traditional craft.

Through a 3-year educational programme the prisoners become licensed, professional Kente weavers. The programme is taught by weavers from the local textile company Inana Textiles. After graduation the participants hold income-generating skills, as well as a certificate to prove these skills. In short, the chances of creating a good life for the individual as well as for his family are improved through this programme.
